Every roof that gets scraped or soft washed should get biocide, it is what stops the job needing redoing in eighteen months. Honest limits

Biocide kills spores; it does not remove established moss cushions. If the roof is already green from the pavement, treatment alone is the wrong order, scrape or soft wash first, treat after. Quotes here say plainly which situation yours is; anyone selling biocide as a substitute for cleaning a visibly mossy roof is selling a second visit.
